Vintage High Waisted Floral Shorts by Joan Walters. 1980s High Rise Flower Print Shorts in Pink, Purple, Green, and Yellow Tulip Print, size Medium.
These are beautifully tailored shorts that are still really comfortable, thanks to an elastic waist in the back. The front waist is a flat band, but there are pleats for fullness. There are two pockets, semi full legs, and a gorgeous print. Feminine, floral, and these work well for dressing up a more casual summer look. I am always a big fan of pieces that are easy and comfortable to wear, but that give the impression of being a bit more dressy.
These shorts have a side button closure. The closure incorporates the pocket, so the pocket "expands" to allow the shorts to open when unbuttoned. These are made in the USA of cotton and rayon, and are marked size 8. Shown on size 6 model. The tag says "Joan Walters Petites", but they fit average sizes with no problem (model is 5'11" tall).
