It’s a unicorn!
Beautiful, 1950s plus size, dead-stock pink embroidered shirt dress from the 1950s in pristine condition!

*pictured here with light petticoat.

This is a Toni Todd, mid 1950s. The original tags are still hanging on the dress as is the original paper sizing and union tags.

This is a beautiful light pink with lovely lace embroidery and cloth covered buttons. This is tagged as a size 16 1/2 but it measures out to a modern size 16.

The material is Dacron Polyester which was considered a luxury linen at the time as Dacron (unlike other polyesters) does not hold moisture, mold and is hypoallergenic. Which is also a reason why this dress is so beautifully preserved!

Then bodice is generous in fit and the back of the waistline of the dress is elastic (see pic).
