This sumptuous 1960's dress & jacket set is as sleek and chic to the touch as it looks!

Made from an absolutely fine and soft silk and rayon blend brocade fabric, this set features a traditional pattern of Chinese symbols with rose, wildflower & chrysanthemum floral accompaniment. The base or ground color is a rich emerald green with hints of teal-blue hues, with deep green and cream weft threads. The jacket is fitted and high-waist length with a low-style collar, 3/4 length sleeves and self-covered buttons-up center front. The dress has short sleeves and a super fitted or sheath silhouette, with hidden hips pockets and a metal zipper, plus hook + eye center back closure. Both pieces are unlined (a lining isn't necessary due to the thickness of the brocade) and feature tons of hand-finished details and stitching. The overall condition is excellent with some minor issues; repairs to jacket buttonholes, repairs/reinforcement to stitching throughout dress, some mild creasing and discoloration through fabric, and one quarter-sized area of 'rubbing' or slight difference to surface fabric at mid-lower skirt -this is only noticeable from certain angles.

Please note: both pieces have been washed and pressed, giving the fabric a very soft and buttery hand, unlike other similar pieces from this time.
