This is a super rare corset or stays from the Regency era (1810-1820). The corset is made of cotton and is intricately corded. There are 11 eyelets on each side at the rear. Some of the eyelets are reinforced with thread while others have metal grommets. There are eyelets on the shoulder straps for lacing. The corset includes a central busk channel. The bust, measured from edge to edge is 32 inches. The waist, from edge to edge is 23 inches. The hip, from edge to edge is 36 inches. The length measured from top edge to bottom edge is 15 inches.
