A simple 1960s Alfred Shaheen cream shift dress with a lovely bird of paradise pattern painted on. The neutral tones make this a perfect piece to transition to the warmer months of fall. The cream fabric feels like a linen or linen blend. Dress has buttons upon the shoulders and zips up the side with a nylon zipper. There is no Alfred Shaheen tag, but “Shaheen” is signed on the dress. Dress is meant to be a tad loose. Best fits modern size Medium to Large. Model is modern size 4/6.

Fair vintage condition - Some overall wear and pilling to the piece with a few small spots. The painted pattern is also slightly worn in places. Some faint underarm marks that are more noticeable from the inside of the garment and faint color fade to the brown trim. Hook is original but tarnished. It should be noted too that there is no lining to this piece - so you May want a slip.
