Big fan of lurex and lamé from any decade, but Chromspun, trademarked by the Eastman Kodak Co. in 1951, has got to be my favorite, for its durability and effortlessness:

This LBD was from the estate of my neighbor’s aunt, who was a (very stylish!) war bride from Okinawa.

This dress has a only trace of a tag; otherwise I would’ve thought it was custommade. The sleeves have super soft real white rabbit fur trim.
