Fit and flare Late 50s (or early 60s) paisley pin up day dress. Dress is home sewn by an excellent seamstress, all the seams are finished to avoid raveling. Best guess that the fabric is a crisp acetate or rayon that mimics shantung silk with its obvious weave. The print is a cusp of the 60s paisley, flowers and leaves in blue, green and purple on an ivory background. V neckline has attached bias cut scarf tie. Bodice is fitted with darts and has a waist seam. A line, below the knee skirt has a few gathers at the waist. 9" side metal zipper is by Lightning. Half sleeves are set in and have a dart at the bend of the elbow. Comes with a 2" wide by 36" long "belt" that is unfinished on the ends and missing it's fastener or buckle. You could re make it as a belt or wear it as a headband, see last photo. Black belt in photos is not included.(Next to last photo shows dress loose, without belt) This mid mod volup rockabilly day dress is in excellent condition.
