This sodalite pendant is a stunning shade of blue similar to lapis, with marbling that makes the bead totally one-of-a-kind. Sodalite is a stone known to promote calmness and ease panic. It is also intrinsically linked with the zodiac of sign Sagittarius, making it especially perfect for anyone of that sign. This pendant dates back to the Art Deco era (1920s-1930s), and features a beautifully hand-carved Chinese motif, including a "Shou" symbol, which represents prosperity, one of the three main pillars of ancient Chinese belief. This symbol can be seen in Chinese art and decorative objects dating back to at least 1600 BC. The wire through the bead allows it to spin, and the bale is large enough that it can be worn with virtually any chain or cord. The bead itself measures .75" in diameter, and with the bale, it hangs about 1. 25". Please note that the chain is not included.
