This necklace is an antiqued silver. The many chains graduate from 16 to 19 inch choker length including the decorative end pieces. The findings holding the five chains are cast and have organic detail. The necklace has a nice weight to it.

This metal necklace is circa 1960 and made by a high end costume jewelry maker of the time. The first half of the 20th century was the heyday for well made costume jewelry sold from fine department stores to Woolworth, usually made in Europe or the United States. The manufacture and quality of costume jewelry deteriorated in the latter part of the century making this era the last with enduring products.
